The President’s the head honcho, commander-in-chief,
He can pardon any criminal without any grief.
He can make foreign treaties, in peace or in war,
He can appoint judges, ambassadors and more.
He runs the state militias when they’re put into use,
He can veto legislation, saying “Yo Congress, I refuse”.
But he can’t go to war without Congressional approval
And he can’t protect himself if they seek his removal.
The Senate ratifies treaties with a vote of two-in-three
And for appointments they have to say “Yo dawg, we agree”.
Military actions must be deemed legally legitimate
And vetoes? With a two-thirds vote, Congress can get rid of it.
So basically being President is sweeter than molasses
But Congress makes sure he stays accountable to the masses.
